Tanzania 2 Week Expedition

This is an example of a shorter expedition, focused around one volunteer project, with adventure activities confined to a few days.

Week 1

>Volunteer work at Waang'waray Primary School.
e.g. renovation of a classroom block to improve the quality of education by reducing the number of children per class. Work includes basic construction, mixing cement, plastering, painting and taking informal English lessons.

Students also organise a school sports day and other activities with the school children.

>Maasai Cultural Exchange.
Weekend spent staying in the Maasai community, learning about and taking part in the traditional nomadic way of life.

Week 2

>Project work at the primary school continues and is completed.

Walking safaris & bush camping
Time for some well earned rest in the heart of the African savannah. Guided treks through the bush give you a chance to spot zebra, giraffes and other wildlife. Then swim in waterfalls before relaxing next to an African camp fire.

>4x4 safari in Tarangire National Park
Game drives through arguably one of the best places to safari in East Africa. This park is home to the “Big 5” and students will have an excellent chance to spot lions and large herds of elephants.
